How we research
An honest explanation of what we do — and what we don't. Like a good recipe, no hidden ingredients.
What we do
- Compare official specs side-by-side — wattage, capacity, speeds, materials, what's in the box — from manufacturer pages and manuals. The boring reading, so you don't have to.
- Read real owner reviews — hundreds of them, from triumphant sourdough posts to tragic macaron failures, looking for patterns across many voices, not cherry-picked quotes.
- Track typical prices — so our "worth it" calls reflect what you'll actually pay, not launch-day MSRP. Holiday sales change everything.
- Check the fine print — warranty terms, dishwasher safety, what's actually included in the box.
- Revisit regularly — products change; we update when specs or prices shift meaningfully.
What we don't do — and this matters
- We do NOT do hands-on testing. We have not personally creamed butter with these tools. Any site that implies otherwise without a test kitchen is misleading you — we won't.
- We don't take paid placements. Rankings are never for sale, and brands can't pay to win a face-off.
- We disclose affiliate relationships. If a link earns us a commission, it's stated right there in the article — no fine print, no surprises.
- We don't invent experiences. You'll never read "we whipped cream for 20 minutes" here unless we did. Our verdicts follow the evidence: specs, prices, and owner-review patterns.
Why trust a site that doesn't test hands-on?
Because we'd rather show our work than ask for blind faith. Every face-off lays out the specs, the prices, and what owners consistently say — so you can verify everything yourself. Honest research, plainly labeled, beats fake testing every time. Your bakes deserve the truth. 🧁
